Opening Day on the horizon of a Great Season

Today is opening day for the 2011 season.  The cubs have to wait until tomorrow afternoon to play, but I am counting the minutes until there is baseball at Wrigley again.

I am very much hopeful as I always am at the start of the new season.  I had a great lunch with some friends and at the end got to talk about the Cubs.  It feels good and I am so ready to see them playing for those games that count!!!

Heres to a great season!!!  GO CUBS GO!

Spring Training is almost over.....ready for real games

I am so excited for opening day!  I'm ready to see real baseball that counts!

I'm in the start of week 3 for my body for life challenge #2.  I've lost 7 pounds the past three weeks and I'm feeling better than ever.  I'm lifting more weight and running harder and faster than ever before.

Life is good!

Start of week 5

Today marks the start of week 5.  It also marks everyone else doing their new years resolution.  It was hard to get a spot to run tonight.  With body for life it is a pretty set schedule, so it wasn't like I could just lift instead tonight, that would mess up the full week.  It is pretty cold outside, so I wasn't going to run outside yet.  So I waited and hoped on the treadmill.  My husband is awesome and he waited for the next one.  It was just about time to get off when he finally got one, so I just pushed and ran longer!  So all in all it turned out to be great!

I didn't weight my self this week.  I am going to wait until picture day on Thursday.  I can tell more weight is leaving and I am feeling so strong!  I love this.  I love feeling amazing.

Good things are happening all around me and I feel at peace!

Cubs convention in just a few days....I am so excited!!!!

The Quade Decision

I am in the minority when it comes to today's decision on Mike Quade becoming the next Chicago Cubs manager.  I don't think that Ryne Sandberg was going to be the answer at this point.  I think eventually he might be, but right now I would much rather have Mike Quade.  I know that there will be pressure on him as he takes over, there are always going to be haters.  I am just glad as we head into the off season we have a manager and it is someone who gets it, who has seen it, and get us there.  Can you honestly say Sandberg would have taken this team somewhere different than Quade is going too?  Yes Girardi can win in NYC, but I don't know if he really wanted to come to Chicago.  So as fans around the world are upset, but I sorta like a guy with no body hair! :)
